Selection Criteria

SC1 Capacity to undertake support and supervision of students across a range of functions in one or more work areas within a school environment according to Child Safe standards. 

SC2 Demonstrated capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment.

SC3 - Demonstrated capacity to safely undertake routine tasks across a range of maintenance functions with a sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and risk management practices.

SC4 Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to management and other school staff in respect to the safe operation and compliance of the school bus.

SC5 A commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.

Role

This role is primarily to drive the school bus and provide supervision of students for the school camps program. This requires availability to stay overnight for two nights a week (usually Wednesdays and Thursdays) at the school camp facility (approximately 26 weeks a year). On these occasions a camps payment or time in lieu payment (in alignment with the relevant VGSA) will be paid. The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the bus in alignment with the School Bus Accreditation program and relevant Victorian legislation, regulations and standards  

On the weeks where no camps are running the successful applicant will support the school facilities team with school maintenance. This will require the capacity to undertake basic maintenance and repairs tasks, including, but not limited to, repairs to toilets, student loc…
