Ainslie Parklands Primary School is in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, adjacent to Ainslie Park in Croydon. Ainslie Parklands Primary School has a strong focus on academic achievement and a positive approach to wellbeing, which nurtures our students to become independent critical thinkers and passionate learners. The teachers plan and teach collaboratively, using the VLPs for curriculum planning and following the VTLM 2.0. We are a cohesive team and aim for consistency and academic rigour. Staff implement Phormes from Foundation to Grade 6 supported by Little Learners Love Literacy and follow The Writing Revolution guidance. Numeracy also has a strong focus and student progress is supported by running regular benchmarked external assessments. At Ainslie Parklands Primary School we learn and grow together with our focus on our school values of Responsibility, Respect and Resilience. This is further supported by the implementation of the School-Wide Positive behaviour framework, supported by the Berry Street Education Model practices. Specialist programs are offered in Auslan, P.E. and Science; Performing Arts and Sustainability. We have designated Music studio, Arts studio, Auslan and Science studios a classroom kitchen, Library and Hall to help support our specialist and rotation programs. Ainslie Parklands Primary School has a strong and welcoming parent community, who are actively involved in their child's learning and we work together in partnership with our close knit school community.
