Assistant Principal Range 1 Criteria

SC-1: Educational leadership

• Proven capacity for exemplary educational leadership, within a curriculum area of the school, leading to improved student outcomes. 

• Developed skills in leading and managing the capacity of staff, during periods of significant change in staffing within a school.

SC-2: Financial, managerial and administrative ability

• Proven financial, organisational and resource management skills.

 SC-3: Planning, policy and program development and review

• Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate strategies for school improvement.

SC-4: Leadership of staff and students

• A developed capacity to motivate staff, develop their talents and build an effective team.

• A capacity to foster a learning environment that takes account of the individual needs of students

    and helps students to develop their special abilities and talents. 

SC-5: Interpersonal and communication skills

• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in individual, small group and community contexts. A proven ability to work with parents and the community to develop a strong learning environment.

• Exemplary values pertaining to personal qualities of objectivity, sensitivity and integrity

SC-6: Community Criteria

• Demonstrated knowledge of and an ability to enhance significantly, a school¿s journey within internationalization in education and intercultural understanding.
