About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Director of Human Resources to join Sheldon College’s Executive Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Principal, this is a key executive role responsible for shaping and delivering the College’s people strategy and ensuring contemporary, effective and responsive Human Resources practices support the strategic direction of the College.

Working closely with the Principal and College Executive, the Director of Human Resources will provide high-level strategic and operational advice across the full employee lifecycle and lead a broad HR portfolio encompassing people strategy, industrial and employee relations, enterprise bargaining, workforce planning, talent acquisition, organisational development, performance and succession, employee wellbeing, HR systems, payroll oversight, remuneration, compliance and workplace culture.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the HR function while building the capability of leaders across the College to effectively manage, develop and engage their teams. With approximately420 employees, this role requires an executive who can balance strategic priorities with operational delivery, navigate complex people and industrial matters, lead change and continuous improvement, and contribute positively to a values-aligned organisational culture.
