Director of Sport and Community Liaison

The Job

St Virgil’s College is seeking to appoint a dynamic and collaborative leader to the position of Director of Sport and Community Liaison. Reporting to the Principal, and as a member of the College Leadership team, the successful candidate will:

• Be responsible for the overall planning, management and implementation of the College’s entire sports program
• Have a deep commitment to student wellbeing, and foster a culture of participation and inclusivity for students at all levels and abilities
• Drive and inspire innovative sporting pathways and build strong community partnerships.

This is a fulltime, ongoing position commencing January 2027. The successful candidate will have access to a fully maintained vehicle, for the purpose of undertaking the role. It is expected the position will have an associated small teaching load, and so a teaching background will be highly regarded, together with experience building trusted relationships with students, families and staff.

Candidates who have relevant qualifications and extensive experience in Sport, but do not hold a teacher registration, are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will need to exhibit a personal commitment to the mission and vision of St Virgil's College and work within the confines of Commonwealth Privacy and Safeguarding legislation.
