Strathcona Girls Grammar is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and highly capable educator to join our teaching team at Tay Creggan, our Year 9 campus located on the banks of the Yarra River in Hawthorn.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to work within our innovative Year 9 program, where students engage in a rich and challenging curriculum designed to foster independence, curiosity, creativity and personal growth.

About the Role

The successful applicant will teach and deliver engaging and contemporary English learning experiences that inspire students to develop strong literacy skills, a love of literature, and confidence in their communication and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high quality English programs for Year 9 students.
• Create engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Use evidence based teaching practices to maximise student growth and achievement.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress in accordance with School expectations.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
• Participate in the co-curricular life of the School and Tay Creggan community.
• Support the values and strategic direction of Strathcona.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and contemporary educational practice.
