Perth Waldorf School Invites applications for a High School Mathematics Teacher - Approx 0.5FTE,Commencing Term 1, 2027 

Perth Waldorf School is seeking an engaging and passionate High School Mathematics Teacher to join our High School faculty from the beginning of 2027.  

This is an approximately 0.5 FTE position, with some flexibility in the final teaching load depending on the skills, experience and availability of the successful applicant.  

We are seeking a teacher with strong mathematical knowledge, genuine enthusiasm for working with young people, and the ability to bring Mathematics to life through engaging, thoughtful teaching. An interest in geometry, including its artistic and practical dimensions, would be highly regarded.  

The Role  

The position will involve teaching Mathematics across Classes 8–12, including Mathematics Main Lessons and regular Mathematics subject lessons.  

Main Lessons are an important feature of Steiner education. Taught in extended blocks over several weeks, they provide teachers and students with the opportunity to explore mathematical concepts in greater depth. This time allows students to investigate patterns, develop concepts, explore applications, and build genuine understanding.  

Weekly Mathematics lessons complement the Main Lesson program, providing continuity and supporting the ongoing development and consolidation of knowledge, skills and problem-solving.  

The particular combination of classes and Main Lessons will be determined according to the successful applicant's experience and the needs of the High School program.
