Teacher (Humanities & Social Sciences)

Position Details:
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching a variety of levels of Humanities and Social Sciences including upper school. Awareness of teaching using ICT is a requirement.

Applicants must have a genuine love of learning and be able to demonstrate a commitment to student centred-learning, collaborative practice, pastoral care, co-curricular responsibilities, and the values of the College.

Classroom teachers will be expected to
•    Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study
•    Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards
•    Teach an area of the curriculum or a general curriculum year level
•    Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in ley learning areas
•    Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
•    Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress
•    Implement effective student management consistent with the College’s strategic plan
•    Contribute to a range of co-curricular programs

Qualifications Criteria:

-    Minimum of a Diploma of Education
-    Current registration with Teachers Registration Board Western Australia 
-    Current Working with Children Check
-    Willingness to obtain Accreditation for Teachers to Work in a Catholic School
-    The ability to teach Religious Education would be advantageous but not essential
