Role description
Metropolitan South Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division
The Science Technician provides technical and administrative support to the science department, preparing equipment, materials, demonstrations and chemical solutions for practical teaching and ensuring laboratories, resources and hazardous substances are managed safely
and in accordance with departmental requirements.
The role also maintains equipment, stock and scientific registers, supports field trips and STEM initiatives, assists teaching staff and students with practical activities, manages purchasing and inventory, and
contributes to laboratory protocols and maintenance. The position is a temporary part-time TO2 (Progressional) 0.88 FTE (64 hours per fortnight), until 25 June 2027.
