Role description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative and dedicated Teacher Assistant, who is strongly committed to the ethos and practices of Catholic Education and possess a genuine desire to support the holistic development of young people to join our Inclusive Learning team. We have a permanent part-time position available working 3 days per week (17.49 hours per week), with the potential to increase to 5 days a week (up to 29.15 hours per week), commencing in Term 4, 2026. 

As a Teacher Assistant in this dedicated role, you will work as part of our Inclusive Learning team, spending part of your day providing continuous 1:1 support for a student with extensive needs. Your primary focus will be maintaining constant supervision to ensure the student's safety, health, and personal well-being. Key responsibilities include delivering respectful and dignified personal care—including toileting and hygiene support—as well as daily medical care, such as diabetes management. Working collaboratively alongside fellow TAs and health support staff, you will foster a secure, reliable, and supportive environment where the student's physical and health needs are fully met with empathy and professionalism.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
