Role description

St Mary's School is seeking a faith-filled and innovative educator to join our growing Catholic community as Deputy Principal, Learning & Teaching Leader, and Classroom Teacher. Working collaboratively with the Principal and high performing leadership team, the successful applicant will lead curriculum, pedagogy and staff development through evidence-based practice and the Science of Learning. This position will commence Wednesday 27 January, 2027.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Catholic Church.
  • Possess expert knowledge and understanding of current thinking and research into curriculum, pedagogy, contemporary learning and the Victorian Curriculum 2.0.
  • Be committed to implement the MACS Vision for Instruction and MACS Vision for Engagement frameworks.
  • Be skilled in the use of digital education.
  • Have highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Have a strong commitment to fostering team processes and an ability to support, contribute, initiate, and implement change in line with the school's improvement plan and Annual Action Plan.
