Role description
As we appoint our next Positions of Leadership, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled relational leader who is committed to improving literacy outcomes by strengthening evidence-informed practice, teacher confidence and capability, and consistency of literacy instruction across the school.
The Literacy Leader combines strong literacy knowledge with exceptional relational leadership.
The Literacy Leader works collaboratively with other leaders to ensure literacy improvement contributes to the school's broader strategic priorities. The Literacy Leader grows the expertise, confidence and independence of teachers so that high-quality literacy practice becomes embedded across the school.
This is an important academic and leadership role within the broader leadership team. The full-time allocation enables the leader to facilitate teacher planning, support classroom pedagogy and lead literacy throughout the school. The contract is an ongoing teaching position with a (POL 3 for a 3-year contract).
