Role description

Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools.  With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.

Applications are invited from innovative and engaging Chinese (Mandarin) teachers for a part time (0.6 FTE) temporary position for 2027.  This role is located at our Glen Waverley Campus.

Demonstrated competence with technology and ICT to enhance the educational program is strongly desirable and Middle Years Programme (MYP) experience in a similar setting would be well regarded. Candidates with another method may be considered for full time work if suitable. Suitable candidates will have qualifications in second language teaching.  

Noting  the timetable for this position will be spread across a 10 day cycle which unlikely to include a full day off per week.

Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching is essential for this position. Candidates who do not hold registration will not be considered.
