Role description

Primary Sport Coordinator

St John’s Campus Highgate & St Peters Campus Blackwood
Fixed term, part-time – 30 hours per week (including afternoons/evenings on weekdays and some Saturday mornings during sport seasons), 42 weeks per year (39 term weeks plus 3 additional weeks)
Commencing 2027

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Sport Coordinator to work across our St John’s Campus in Highgate and St Peters Campus in Blackwood. Working alongside the Director of Sport and Extra-curricular, Sports Coordinators and Coaches, the Primary Sport Coordinator is responsible for engaging students in and coordinating sporting programs for both primary campuses.

The Coordinator models and promotes the College values at all times, and supports the participation, engagement and effective management of our Primary sports program.

The Primary Sport Coordinator:

  • Produced and updates sport programs/match fixtures for the primary campuses
  • Organises nominations for Summer and Winter Sport via Clipboard and subsequently manages these into teams
  • Creates trials/training schedules for all sports each term, including all programs/schedules and communicating to relevant stakeholders and families, printing and posting on all platforms for the primary campuses
  • Identifies potential coaches and assists with their engagement with the College
  • Liaises with coaches, staff members, parents, volunteers and students, which includes communicating via email and/or Clipboard for all sport.
