Deputy Head of Boarding

Following an internal promotion, we are looking for a Deputy Head of Boarding to join our premier boarding house from 1 January 2027 on a fixed-term, full-time basis, continuing until September 2029.

Currently accommodating up to 100 local, rural and overseas boarding students across Years 5 – 12 our purpose built boarding facilities incorporate three houses, each of which is managed by a dedicated team of supervisors and assistants. As the Deputy Head of Boarding you will:

• Make meaningful impact on the lives of our boarders academically, pastorally and personally.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong, collegial and professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Build a strong sense of ‘community’ with the boarders and their families.
• Work alongside the Head of Boarding to ensure the operations and administration of the Boarding House are strategic, nurturing, energetic, and collaborative.
• Have formal teaching qualifications and hold valid Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration (or eligibility for registration).
• Have proven recent experience in an Independent Boarding School or in a similar pastoral role.
