Role description
St Joseph’s School, West Hindmarsh invites applications from an enthusiastic and dedicated Italian Teacher for 2 days per week for the 2027 school year.
We are seeking an educator who is passionate about fostering a love of language and culture in young learners through engaging and meaningful Italian language learning. The successful applicant will inspire students to develop their communication skills, cultural understanding and confidence in using Italian, while creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively uphold and contribute to the ethos of Catholic schools in general as well as the Josephite Charism of St Joseph’s School
- Plan, facilitate and assess a comprehensive learning program in line with the Languages learning area in the Australian Curriculum
- Establish positive and effective relationships with students
- Establish and maintain an inclusive learning environment
About you:
As the successful candidate you will:
- Hold a current Teacher Registration in South Australia
- Demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the role requirements, including a high level of competence with the Italian language
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Work effectively as a member of the school team to actively and positively support school activities
