Role description

We are seeking a full-time teacher to provide targeted support for a student receiving Category 9+ RAP funding, while also working with small groups within the Year 7/8 classroom to strengthen inclusion, engagement and positive peer relationships. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Year 7/8 classroom teacher, secondary teachers and a full-time teacher aide as part of a dynamic and responsive team. The role will involve supporting the student's individual learning, wellbeing, communication and social development needs, while creating meaningful opportunities for participation alongside their peers.
Working under the direction of the Inclusion Leader and wider leadership team, the teacher will provide targeted learning interventions and adjustments, coordinate the delivery of personalised learning plans, and collaborate closely with teachers, families, specialist service providers and support services. They will adapt curriculum, deliver differentiated instruction, and apply evidence-based, culturally responsive and inclusive practices that recognise and value the student's identity, culture, strengths and lived experiences. The teacher will identify barriers to learning, implement appropriate adjustments, monitor progress and regularly update plans in response to the student's changing needs.
