Role description

If being part of a positive school culture is important to you, this could be the perfect opportunity. We have an exceptional Primary team that works closely together and is making a significant impact on student achievement, engagement and the wider learning culture of our school. We prioritise small class sizes and strong support for all learners, ensuring every student at CYS is known, seen, valued and supported to reach their full potential. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Primary teacher who values collaboration and is committed to achieving the best possible educational outcomes for every student.
Our Primary team has a strong focus on the Playberry Laser literacy program and Learning Expedition frameworks. We value an integrated approach to curriculum design that supports the development of the whole child, with an emphasis on building the conceptual knowledge, capabilities and dispositions students need to become confident, curious and creative learners.
The successful applicant will use evidence-informed teaching practices to design engaging, differentiated and culturally responsive learning experiences. They will work closely with a teacher aide to provide targeted interventions, facilitate purposeful small-group learning and maximise student engagement, participation and progress. We are seeking an educator who communicates effectively, contributes openly to shared planning and professional learning, and is excited to work alongside colleagues to continually strengthen teaching practice and student outcomes.
