Role description
Looking for your next adventure? We are seeking pool managers to service our pools across the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankuntjatjara Lands.
The Anangu Lands are situated in the far north of South Australia. Our four pools are located on school sites, and currently we have multiple pool manager positions across the APY Lands for the upcoming swim season, starting in September 2025.
The pools represent a critical component of health, wellbeing and education for Anangu students and their communities.
During the pool season (Terms 4 and 1, and summer school holidays), the pools are used within school hours for life saving, PE curriculum and play, and are available to the wider communities outside those hours.
As Pool Manager, during the pool season, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the pool and daily lifeguard duties. In the off season you'll complete basic maintenance tasks at the pool and support your school with other duties as negotiated with your site leader. These may include grounds maintenance, general repairs and cleaning.
As with every position in the Anangu Lands, this role requires true cultural respect and openness, an ability to build genuine relationships, and resilience and flexibility. While previous experience is desirable, we can provide training and upskilling.
