About the Nihongo Tanken Centre

The Nihongo Tanken Centre is a Japanese language and culture immersion centre, based on the grounds of Kirrawee High School in southern Sydney. Students K–12, from both DoE and non-DoE schools, visit the centre for a 4-hour immersion experience. The centre is open to excursions 4 days each week. The remaining day each week, as well as mornings pre-excursions and afternoons post-excursions, are set aside to complete administrative tasks as outlined in the ‘About the position’ section.
