Role description

The Role

Reporting to the Director, you will deliver a high-quality, approved kindergarten program that reflects the cultural, educational and developmental needs of our children and families. You'll develop and implement an innovative early childhood education program in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the Queensland Learning Kindergarten Guideline (QLKG) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan, implement and evaluate an engaging ECE program grounded in intentional teaching and reflective practice
  • Build secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Support children's individual needs, wellbeing and sense of belonging every day
  • Maintain accurate observations, documentation and transition statements
  • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety and supervision at all times
  • Contribute to a positive, sustainable and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with educators, families and the wider community
  • Uphold our Christian values and college standards in all interactions

You will have:

  • Current Teacher Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or the ability to obtain) 
  • A current Queensland Positive Notice Working with Children Blue Card.
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and relevant legislation
  • Warm, professional communication skills with children, families and colleagues
  • A genuine commitment to ongoing learning, reflective practice and professional development
