Role description
Reynella East College is seeking a passionate and skilled Materials Technology Teacher to join our Years 7-12 team. We foster a culture of high expectations, evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement, where every student is supported to achieve success through meaningful and authentic learning experiences.
This position offers the opportunity to teach Materials Technology including woodwork, metalwork and other materials areas across Years 7-12, with opportunities to contribute to senior secondary pathways for suitably qualified and experienced applicants. We welcome teachers with expertise in practical technologies who are committed to delivering engaging, contemporary programs that develop students' creativity, problem-solving, innovation and technical capability.
As a member of our collaborative Technologies faculty, you will work alongside colleagues dedicated to strong curriculum design, explicit teaching practices and authentic, hands-on learning experiences. Through practical project work, design thinking, safe workshop practices and digital learning technologies, you will support students to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to successfully engage with materials, manage risks, and design effective solutions for real-world challenges.
