Role description

This position involves teaching Materials Technology through to Stage 2, with a focus on woodwork and electronics. The successful applicant will also have the capability to establish and maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment.
All staff are expected to deliver 21st-century teaching and challenge-based learning across all classes, in particular through the use of learning technologies (including DayMap, Google and online platforms) to personalize learning and enrich the delivery of face-to-face curriculum. This teacher will apply explicit strategies to check for understanding, seek student feedback to shape their teaching, and incorporate targeted interventions.

The successful applicant will be skilled in working within a contemporary multicultural environment and will bring effective strategies to support a wide range of learners, including EALD students, gifted students, students with disabilities and international students.

This teacher will be expected to contribute to the co-curricular program related to their learning area, for example, STEM and robotics competitions, maker and design clubs, and showcase events.
