Role description

 

St John’s Lutheran Primary School is seeking a new team member who is an enthusiastic, dedicated teacher that strives for academic excellence. The successful Teacher's Aide will be willing to support the Christian ethos (Lutheran) of the school while working in a close team environment.    

St John’s is located in the beautiful coastal town of Portland VIC. We currently have 120 students structured in Foundation to Year 6.

We are a Christian School and believe in developing every aspect of our students. We work hard at developing confidence, resilience, creativity and positive mindsets. We also strongly believe in setting high expectations for demonstrating respect towards each other, developing a strong work ethic and driving personal best in regards to student growth.

This role will suit someone who is passionate about supporting students to participate, learn and flourish, and contributing to a Christ-centred school community within the Lutheran tradition.

The role will involve supporting students in our Junior primary classes primarily but also depending on the needs of the school.

This is a part-time 0.85 FTE position commencing 21st January 2027
