Role description

Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

The position is full-time and ongoing, commencing in January 2027.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant needs to have the ability to teach the following courses:

  • Stage 4 and 5 Religious Education 

The ability to teach the following course is highly desirable:

  • Stage 6 Studies of Religion

The successful applicant will:

  • be an outstanding and experienced classroom teacher of Religious Education across Stages 4, 5 and 6
  • be accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW
  • demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
  • demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
  • be willing to contribute to the Co-curriculum Programs at the College
  • hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people
