Role description
Position Details:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Education Assistant to join our dedicated Early Years team for the 2027 academic year. Here at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Pinjarra, we place a strong emphasis on our school vision ‘every child is known’.
We are a dynamic, single stream, Catholic co-educational primary school catering for approximately 250 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six.
The work of the Sisters of St Joseph and the founder of the order, St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, is the corner stone of our school where each community member is nurtured spiritually, academically, socially and physically. The school enjoys a close relationship with the parish and strong support from the parent community.
Selection Criteria:
Promotes the Catholic faith, education and ethos of the school
Demonstrates excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work under the direction of the classroom teacher
Demonstrates the skills and capacity to promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and parish to build community
Qualifications Required:
Certificate III Teacher Assistant Qualification
A Diploma Level Education and Care Qualification as listed on the ACECQA website will be highly regarded
Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School or working towards
