Role description

Position Details: 
Mary MacKillop Catholic Community Primary School is a primary school catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 with an enrolment of 450 students. The school has a strong affiliation with the Mary MacKillop parish creating a very positive atmosphere within in the community with an emphasis on pastoral care and acceptance of all cultural and social backgrounds and needs.

An integral part of the school is the St Joseph Centre, which provides for the additional needs of a variety of students. Mary MacKillop continues to consolidate the Cooperative Learning Philosophy.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate, dedicated, inspiring and suitably qualified Music Teacher to join our friendly and professional staff.

The school's music teacher is responsible for the provision of a varied and comprehensive music programme for the students from Pre Primary – Year 6, coordination of a choir and coordination of other school performances as required.

The position is a 0.6 FTE temporary position with the possibility of becoming ongoing.

Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos
•    Have the proven experience as an exemplary and enthusiastic educator who will work collaborartively with the Leadership Team to plan for and implement Music programs that improve student learning through effective teaching and differentiated learning experiences that caters for a variety of student needs including students with a disability.
