Role description

Lead inclusive learning and create opportunities for every student to thrive!

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Learning Support (P–12) to provide strategic leadership of inclusive learning across the College.

This role will commence in Term 1, 2027.

About the Role

The Head of Learning Support leads the strategic design and delivery of inclusive learning from Prep to Year 12. The role champions equitable access to learning and ensures students requiring additional support, enrichment, or English language acquisition assistance are identified, understood and appropriately supported.

Leading a dedicated Learning Support team, you will work collaboratively with teachers, school leaders, students and families to build an inclusive culture and strengthen the College's capacity to respond effectively to diverse learning needs.

The role encompasses oversight of:

  • Learning Support and inclusive learning practices across P–12
  • Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), Student Support Groups and student adjustments
  • NCCD processes, documentation and compliance
  • Special Examination Arrangements in partnership with the VCE Coordinator
  • Learning intervention programs and the use of data to monitor student progress
  • Gifted and Talented education
  • English as an Additional Language (EAL) program outside curriculum-based EAL/VCE
  • Professional learning, coaching and capability development for teaching staff.

You will also maintain an appropriate face-to-face teaching load, by negotiation, providing opportunities to model inclusive practice and targeted instruction.
