Role description

Teacher of Humanities

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a Teacher of Humanities at our South Yarra campus. This is a full-time ongoing commencing in Term 1, 2027. The ability to teach a VCE Humanities subject is highly desirable.

This role will see you:

  • Inspire and foster a passion and appreciation of learning in our students.
  • Work as a pedagogical educator, committed to driving and sharing best practice with other teachers. 
  • Facilitate the exploration of student interests, fostering the pursuit of academic and personal growth.
  • Support the individual wellbeing of our students through our pastoral care programs.

You will:

  • Have experience teaching a VCE Humanities subject and a passion for the education of students from Years 7 to 12.
  • Work in partnership to deliver the exceptional educational experiences we offer our students.
  • Collaborate with others to educate and nurture the whole person, fostering each student’s intellectual, spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional growth.
  • Use your skills to actively contribute to co-curricular activities.

VIT registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential.
