12 Month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

This role will be suited to a passionate, enthusiastic and self motivated individual.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:

• To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children and young people;
• To work collaboratively with teachers and parents to implement a programme (which is provided by the classroom teacher) that is best suited to student’s individual needs.
• Positively guide students’ behaviour and assist them towards independence in their learning
• Establish rapport and trust with the student, carers, teachers and outside support agencies, eg: speech therapist, occupational therapist.

Key Selection Criteria 

• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education; 
• Previous experience in an education setting working with children or young people is desirable (if applicable);
• Willingness to further enhance understanding of children's learning and behaviours;
• A collegial and collaborative approach to engaging with others;
• Ensure Child Safety Standards are upheld;
