Role description

Successful applicants must:

  • Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos.
  • Align with the MACS Vision for Instruction and MACS Vision for Engagement.
  • Proven capability in delivering explicit instruction in key areas such as Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Understand cognitive load theory.
  • Implement best practice instruction, curriculum planning (evidence-based, knowledge-rich, coherent and sequenced) and assessment practice.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.

Key Requirements:

  • VIT registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to undertake accreditation).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting, learning-focused relationships with staff, students and families.
  • A commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
  • A proactive approach to professional growth, including giving and receiving feedback.
