The School of Special Educational Needs: Disability (SSEN: D) is seeking to create a pool of dedicated and dynamic leaders for the Coordinator, Consulting Teacher Service – Disability role (previously known as Head of Service Area), for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

SSEN: D are seeking experienced school leaders who are passionate about supporting our mission to partner with schools to provide collaborative support and resources that promote learning environments where every student’s potential is realised. We seek to make a valued contribution to education through the provision of evidence informed strategies and practical support for students with diagnosed and imputed disability and specific learning disorders, enrolled in WA public schools.
SSEN: D is part of a federation of eight Specialist Schools within the Department of Education, inclusive of the four schools of Special Educational Need; the School of Special Educational Needs: Behaviour and Engagement (SSEN: BE), the School of Special Educational Needs: Medical and Mental Health (SSEN: MMH), the School of Special Educational Needs: Sensory (SSEN: S) and the School of Special Educational Needs: Disability (SSEN: D).
