MORNINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL PROFILE

OUR VISION: Inspiring a passion for learning and personal excellence while preparing students to become globally responsible citizens.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School authorised to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP), we aim to develop internationally-minded students equipped for a globally connected future. Our students collaboratively create class Essential Agreements that promote a positive and vibrant learning culture. Reflective personal development is a key aspect of our curriculum, especially through our inquiry-based approach that fosters conceptual understanding and encourages students to take meaningful action.

Curriculum and Learning

Through an inquiry-driven, concept-based curriculum, students learn critical thinking, social, communication, self-management, and research skills. Our students develop skills in self-management of their learning, developing social and emotional skills essential for becoming well-rounded individuals. The IB PYP Learner Profile Attributes are woven within everything we do, to ensure they are developed in each child during their years in the programme.

Enrichment Opportunities

We offer a range of activities in sports, visual arts, performing arts, ICT, French, choir, instrumental music/singing, Children¿s University, school productions and lunch clubs. Our Student Representative Council further cultivates leadership and citizenship qualities, encouraging lifelong connection to community and an ability and desire to make a difference.
