Myrrhee Primary School is a small rural school dedicated to providing exceptional learning opportunities for every student. Located in the picturesque Myrrhee Valley, approximately 40 minutes from Benalla and Wangaratta, the school is surrounded by natural bushland which forms an integral part of the learning environment. 

Families from within and beyond the King Valley choose Myrrhee for its nurturing and inclusive environment, small class sizes and strong focus on learning and student wellbeing. These elements support the development of strong relationships between staff and students and enable a genuinely holistic approach to teaching, learning and wellbeing.

Teaching and learning at Myrrhee Primary School is grounded in evidence-based practice aligned with the science of learning. Literacy is delivered through Promoting Literacy Development (PLD), a structured synthetic phonics program. Students participate in explicit instruction in reading, writing and spelling, and engage in regular mathematics instruction using the Explicit Mathematics Program aligned with evidence-based practice. 

The school provides a high staff-to-student ratio, with Education Support staff working alongside teachers in classrooms to support differentiated instruction and point-of-need learning. Student data is used consistently to inform teaching and targeted intervention.
