Selection Criteria

SC1 Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and positively within a multidisciplinary school Inclusion and Wellbeing Team.

SC2 Demonstrated understanding of school-based speech pathology practice and the delivery of a comprehensive service across a primary school.

SC3 Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual and group speech, language and communication programs, and build staff and family capability.

SC4 Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers and allied health professionals while maintaining confidentiality.

SC5 Demonstrated strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise competing demands, meet deadlines and work proactively.

Role

The Speech Pathologist will work as an integral member of Wimba Primary School's Student Engagement and Wellbeing Team. The role provides specialist support to strengthen students' speech, language and communication skills so they can access learning, express their needs, build relationships and participate confidently in school life. 

Working under the direction of the Assistant Principal - Student Wellbeing and Engagement and the Leadership Team, the Speech Pathologist will collaborate closely with teachers, education support staff, families and other professionals.
