Learning Specialist  Instructional Coaching and School Improvement Warreen Primary School, Truganina

Warreen Primary School is looking for an outstanding teacher and instructional leader to join us as a Learning Specialist. This is a hands-on coaching role with real influence over teaching quality and student outcomes across the school.

About us Warreen opened in January 2024 in Truganina, in Melbourne's western growth corridor, as part of the Truganina North Learning Precinct. About the role As a key instructional leader within our distributed leadership model, you'll work alongside teachers and the Principal Class team to build teaching capability and lift student outcomes school-wide. This is a classroom-based role ¿ you'll spend significant time coaching, modelling practice, observing lessons and giving feedback. 

Key responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor teachers through classroom-based professional learning
  • Model high-impact, evidence-informed teaching practices
  • Provide timely, specific and actionable feedback to teachers
  • Support teachers to use assessment data to inform their teaching
  • Lead professional learning connected directly to classroom practice
  • Support implementation of the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 and Victorian Curriculum 2.0
