Milgate Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, approximately 20 kilometres from the CBD. With an enrolment of approximately 680 students, we celebrate a culturally diverse community, with around 50% of students coming from a language background other than English.

As an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) school, Milgate Primary School is committed to developing internationally minded, compassionate and reflective learners. Through an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning, students are encouraged to become curious, confident and independent thinkers who contribute positively to their local and global communities.

Milgate Primary School has a professional, collaborative and dedicated staff of 76, including principal, assistant principals, classroom and specialist teachers, education support staff, administration, library and IT staff. Students benefit from a broad specialist program incorporating Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Mandarin, Library, EAL, Intervention and High Ability programs.
