Pleasant Street Primary School is a vibrant and forward-thinking community of learners. We are a P-6 Primary School with 345 students adjacent to Lake Wendouree in Ballarat.  We aim to provide a nurturing and challenging environment that promotes enthusiasm for learning and prepares individuals to become reflective and valued members of society. 

Pleasant Street Primary School is committed to delivering evidence-based teaching and learning in line with the science of learning. We provide a rich curriculum with a focus on explicit teaching, knowledge building, structured literacy and numeracy and providing an engaging school life full of experiences for our learners. 

We aim to provide a low-variance, consistent curriculum across the whole school. This is achieved through instructional models and a detailed Instructional Playbook that has been developed in collaboration with staff. Teaching and learning at Pleasant Street Primary School are grounded in educational research, cognitive science and the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0. We have a strong culture of Professional Learning Communities where staff work together to improve teaching and learning. Staff plan together each week supported by the Leadership team. 

We believe in supporting the growth of the whole child, as demonstrated by our school values of Respect, Resilience, Honesty, Creativity and Excellence.
