Selection Criteria

1.  Demonstrated ability to develop constructive relationships with students, parents and peers which engender positive attitudes to learning; while demonstrating high level written communication, speech and Auslan skills when relating to hearing impaired students, parents and other teachers.

2.  Demonstrated high level of knowledge of the relevant key learning areas and the way students learn with the ability to incorporate the development of literacy and numeracy skills in their interactions with students.

3.  Demonstrated high quality teaching skills linked to ongoing review and reflective delivery of curriculum which enables all students to individually achieve their full potential.

4.   Ability to assess and monitor student achievement and to provide constructive feedback while keeping parents regularly and fully informed of their children's progress.

5.  Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities as a member of school team; while reflecting critically upon their professional practice to continually improve the quality of their teaching while showing exemplary values and attitudes appropriate to responsible professional practice resulting in enhanced student learning outcomes.
