Wonthaggi Primary School is a warm, welcoming and inclusive school situated on the beautiful Bunurong Coast in South Gippsland. Set across four hectares of established grounds and gardens, our school has a proud history of more than 100 years while continuing to grow and evolve as a contemporary learning community.

We have high expectations for every learner, with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy complemented by specialist programs and opportunities that support the development of the whole child. Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) are core to the way we work. Staff collaboratively use student learning, engagement and wellbeing evidence to identify needs, determine next steps, plan responsive teaching and evaluate impact. Strong universal classroom practice forms the foundation of our MTSS approach, with adjustments, targeted intervention and individualised supports provided in response to student need.
