Role description
Gain paid work experience - one day per week
This role offers valuable hands-on experience for tertiary students considering a career in education within a supportive Anglican school environment.
As an Intern, you will be provided with:
- a dedicated Mentor Teacher
- support and oversight of the program(s) by the School Coordinator
- collegial weekly Intern meetings, including devotionals, professional discussions about the development of teaching practice, and reflections on the progression of your individual teaching goals.
- Paid opportunities to attend relevant Professional Learning
Who will the successful applicant be?
- A tertiary student in their final year in 2027 (Bachelor or Master of Education/ Teaching)
- Possess a genuine interest to learn about teaching in a Christian School
- Able to demonstrate a growing knowledge of recent developments in the theory and practice of pedagogy.
- Display outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers
- Expected to understand and have a commitment to the School’s Christian mission, values and ethos.
