Role description

Covenant Christian School is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Learning Centre (ELC) Director to commence on 20 January 2027. It is full-time (with teaching load) or negotiable without.

The Early Learning Centre (ELC) Director provides strategic leadership and operational management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, Christ-centred early childhood education. The Director is responsible for regulatory compliance, staff recruitment, development and mentoring, and serves as the Nominated Supervisor, overseeing educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF), financial performance, health and safety standards, and positive engagement with families.

The ELC Director is responsible for upholding and promoting the Vision and Mission of the Centre while fostering an operating culture grounded in the Christian foundations, ethos and values of Covenant Christian School. The Centre is to be led in accordance with the School's vision, goals and policies, while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a mature and active Christian faith, with regular membership and involvement in a local Protestant Christian church. They will be an exceptional communicator, highly organised, collaborative, and committed to providing outstanding leadership while supporting children, families and staff within a Christ-centred learning community.
