Who are we?

We are Arethusa College – a 10-campus (and growing) independent special assistance school in South-East Queensland. We have more than 15 years’ experience supporting vulnerable young people towards brighter futures.

Our co-educational high school accepts, without judgment, young people and works closely with them and their families to develop individualised wellbeing, learning and pathways profiles that meet their needs and reflect their interests and goals.

We have small Campuses and class sizes, but the opportunities we offer our young people are big and include wide-ranging training and employment pathways; sport and eSports; the Arts (including circus and dance); outdoor camps; and student leadership, plus much more.

We want our teachers to:

• get to know our young people – trusted relationships are at the heart of everything we do
• focus on teaching – work alongside Education Support Officers in every learning space and wellbeing and pathways experts who connect students with support, training and employment opportunities
• be creative – connect learning to what matters most to students, with unit plans, resourcing and reporting support provided
• feel supported – access dedicated staff counselling and wellbeing support when you need it (we also have wellbeing dogs)
• grow with our College
