Role description

Marist College Canberra is a Congregational Catholic school for boys (Year 4-12) operating as part of ‘Marist Schools Australia’. It enjoys an excellent reputation for its pastoral care of students, academic studies, cultural and sport pursuits. The College is driven by staff who are committed to making a difference in the education of boys. 

Marist College Canberra is seeking an energetic and committed English teacher to join our inclusive and dynamic team. The successful applicant will have appropriate qualifications in teaching English from Years 7 – 12 and would be working with a dedicated and innovative team of educators within the Department. 

This is a full time, temporary position (12-month contract), commencing Term 4, Monday 12 October 2026.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and graduate teachers who are eager to embark on their teaching career. 

Staff at Marist College Canberra are responsible for the promotion of an atmosphere of charity and justice within the College, as is expected in a Catholic community and to help ensure the provision of the Catholic perspective in the teaching and learning process and in all the activities of the College.
