About the Role

This role will a 12 month fixed term Specialist teacher role in the area of Performing Arts. Working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Teaching Foundation through to Year 6.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include

  • To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
  • To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
  • Ensure the delivery of curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds;
  • A collegial and collaborative approach to learning and teaching.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
  • Experience in teaching Performing Arts and awareness of the curriculum;
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
  • A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
  • Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
  • Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
  • Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
