Role description
Industrial and Employee Relations are seeking to establish a pool of Administrative Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2026 and up to the end of August, 2028. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Employee Relations Directorate is responsible for ensuring that industrial instruments and legislative frameworks are complied with and that employees are supported in a range of discrete human resource matters. The Employee Relations Directorate is made up of two branches: Labour Relations and Employee Support Bureau. The Directorate further provides strategic and operational advice to the Minister, Director General, school leaders and line managers on a range of employee relations matters.
The Role
The suitable applicants will provide administrative support to the Director and other staff, including basic research. They will process incoming and outgoing enquiries and correspondence, action routine matters by drafting responses and quality assuring reports, briefings notes and Ministerials.
These applicants will maintain databases, records and management information systems relating to the directorate as well as arrange meetings, prepare and distributes minutes of meetings and follow up on actions as required.
They will be asked to communicate with senior departmental officers on behalf of the Director and will also assist with preparation, monitoring and reporting on the directorate budget. These applicants will also check, reconcile and process accounts against appro…
