Role description
Metropolitan South Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division
Stretton State College is seeking a motivated and safety‑focused Science Technician to support our busy science department for the remainder of the 2026 school year. In this hands‑on role, you’ll help bring science
learning to life by preparing equipment, materials and chemical solutions for practical lessons, maintaining well‑organised laboratory spaces, and ensuring safe handling and disposal of chemicals and laboratory
waste.
You’ll work closely with our science teaching team to support demonstrations, STEM initiatives, equipment repairs, stock management and field trip preparation. We’re looking for someone who can
work independently in a laboratory environment, communicate clearly with staff, and confidently manage chemical hazards while contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing school team.
There are two
roles on offer.
