LANGUAGE TEACHER
Position Details
Kearnan College is a vibrant PK–12 school of 300 students nestled in the picturesque town of Manjimup, approximately 300km south of Perth. The region offers a tranquil lifestyle with nature trails perfect for walking, cycling and outdoor exploration. Food enthusiasts will enjoy a rich array of local cafés, restaurants and fresh regional produce. With diverse opportunities and a warm, welcoming community, Manjimup is an ideal place to live, learn, and grow.
This is a temporary position for 3-4 hours per week (not necessarily all on one day) and you would be teaching Year 7 and 8 students. Our preference would be Italian or Japanese, but any language listed on the SCSA website would be considered. TRBWA registration is highly preferred, but not essential.
Selection Criteria
• The ability to deliver teaching and learning programs that are student-driven, data-informed and challenge all learners.
• Fluency in the chosen language and the ability to enhance students’ cultural knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and students.
• Skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and to work collaboratively with other staff members.
• Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the College.
Qualifications Required
Preferred - Relevant 4-year tertiary qualification and TRBWA registration.
