Role description

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2026

Meekatharra District High School (DHS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team.

At Meekatharra DHS, we set high expectations for our students to become lifelong learners who show respect for culture, themselves, and others, and who strive for a strong future. We are a close-knit learning community, enriched by diversity and a broad range of educational backgrounds.

Located in the beautiful Murchison region, Meekatharra offers unique opportunities to experience life in Western Australia’s stunning outback. Our students and families are proud to live “On Country” and make the most of the natural beauty and resources that surround us. Although our school is small, it is strong, with a teaching team comprising both graduates and highly experienced local staff. Our staff culture is supportive and collegiate, with a strong focus on health and wellbeing. New staff are welcomed into community activities, and local events. Attractive incentives are available for regional schools, including subsidised housing, Country Teaching Program allowances, and a recognised graduate coaching and mentoring program.
