About Us

At Warakirri College, we educate young people aged 15–22 who have disengaged from mainstream schooling—often due to anxiety, depression, or social disadvantage. Our students are capable, curious, and resilient. They simply need the right environment and dedicated, passionate educators in order to thrive.

Our education model is expanding its reach, and by the end of 2027, we are due to have 8 physical campuses and a Distance Education unit.

We are seeking a third Deputy Principal, a values-driven educational leader who can work within a high-performing leadership team to shape and implement the strategic direction of the College.

Starting Term 4 2026.

About the Role

The Deputy Principals are essential in promoting a positive school culture and supporting the Principal in achieving the school’s strategic vision. The role is multifaceted and crucial for the smooth operation of the school by providing professional leadership and management.

This role would suit an exceptional educational leader, someone who leads with warmth and presence, thinks strategically as well as practically, and is highly credible with students, staff, parents and colleagues. The successful candidate would be someone who understands the needs of students from trauma backgrounds, or with social-emotional disabilities – someone who models our values of respect and inclusion, care and commitment, opportunity and teamwork, and ambition with integrity.
